Light of the World

You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. Do we light a lamp to put it under a bushel basket or under a bed? No, we put it on a stand  so it can give its light to all in the room. Let your light so shine before others that they will see your good works and give praise to your creator. The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are bright, then your whole body radiates light. But if your eyes are dim, then your whole body will be as a shadow. If your light is dark, how dark your darkness must be. There is a light within the spirit of man. If he lets it shine, it lights the world; if he does not let it shine, he is part of the darkness.
